Amos' message came from God. He told the women of Israel that their search for luxury was misplaced. They would be lead out of the country with hooks in their noses. The worship at Bethel and Gilgal set up in opposition to Jerusalem would be destroyed. God kept sending drought, famine, mildew, plague and war, but they kept rebelling against Him. Amos called the people to prepare to meet God.
