The Atheist and Skeptic has the nasty little habit of borrowing from Christianity and the Bible in order to sanctimoniously attack Christianity all the while ignoring the fact that Bible practicing and believing Christians were the very ones who put their faith into practice by abolishing slavery in both Europe and in America, and are actively involved in ending it in Africa. The Bible skeptic will always misinterpret scripture because they perceive it from from the outside in and not the inside out. They will dogmatically assume that the culture expressed or depicted in the bible always got it right before God's eyes and blindly assume that their actions and attitudes reflected God's perfect will and desires. Perhaps they are unaware that that the God of the Bible describes his own nature this way. "For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8 "I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way [that is] not good, According to their own thoughts;" Isaiah 65:2 You see The Lord God has every right to judge humanity righteously because He is God the Creator, and we are not.
