The wilderness will rejoice and blossom.

Minha Oração

In today's world, we need prophets. New men that have been in the desert with God, in deep and constant prayer. Men who live according to the Gospel and who comunicate it to others. May |mais

Time to Pray

Our world moves at an extremely fast pace. We intend to make time for prayer, but there always seems to be something else that screams for our attention.
However, Jesus always found time to pray. If prayer was important to Him, it should be to us too.
Here are some suggestions for making time to pray:
1. Make prayer a priority. Just as we need air to breathe, we need this quiet time with God for our spiritual health.
2. Schedule the time on your calender. Treat this time like it was an important meeting. If you wouldn't cancel an
appointment with an important person, why would you cancel one with the God of the universe?
3. Remember the cost of your privilege, and plan, plan, plan. Some people fail in their attempts at prayer because they
don't have a plan. Some ideas:
-The psalms can be a good starting point.
-The Lord's Prayer can be the perfect guide and model for prayer.
-A church hymnal or a devotional book can be helpful for praise and meditation.
4. Don't become discouraged. The point is not not to get what we want out of prayer but to be obedient to God.
God always answers our prayers. Sometimes His answer can be "No" or "Not yet". His purpose could be to teach us patience and persistance.
Prayer is one of the most rewarding ways to spend our time. When we spend time in prayer, we see God's influence in our everyday activities.
