145 PALM SUNDAY - A BLESSED DAY

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem.

 “And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting,“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest" (Matthew 21:9)

The adoring crowd was shouting praises and blessings.

They thought their hero had finally arrived to help them save off   the Roman empire. They were saying Hosanna, “save now!” (Psalm 118:25-26). Thus, the ancient prophecy about the Messiah riding into the city was being fulfilled. (Zechariah 9:9)

But the kingdom of God is not of this world. It is a spiritual kingdom that is now growing in the hearts of people who put their faith and trust in God.
