Power of Prayer

Simultaneous with a lot of discoveries on the mystery of this life, is a discovery of our inner self.  One of which is the changes in our prayer life which is a sign that we gradually mature in our constant communion with God as we commune with people through the community with all the Spiritual inputs and life's testimony we've been absorbing which durect what life should be. From “give me this and give me that” type of prayer, we transcend to be concerned of spiritual salvation for everyone not only for us who are still alive but to those who have already departed.

In God’s time, it came to a point in our lives that we just found ourselves with the realization to be extensive in prayers for every soul.  Personally, at one occasion I realized that if I can’t resist the scorching heat of the sun which hit my face, what more if it’s already the eternal damnation in hell?  If I can’t thwart its heat, others could not as well.  If we grieve for family/loved ones when they’re afflicted, just the same the feeling would be similar for others. It’s heart-breaking witnessing our loved-ones in misery and we think of many alternatives to snatch them away from that misfortune that are seemingly impossible to quell, through the power of prayer.  These thoughts have been reminding me to be in constant invocation for eternal God’s grace and mercy for the humanity…….Amen!

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 21:36 Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man."

John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.

Ephesians 6:18 With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

1 Timothy 2:8 It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument.
